Free Agent PGs for Suns: Lue, Johnson, Duhon?
Quote:

The goal is for Dragic to play a low-pressure role as the Suns' third point guard this season behind a veteran free-agent pickup such as Tyronn Lue, Anthony Johnson or Chris Duhon. AZ Rebuplic.

OK, Let the debate begin! I know Lue's and Johnson's play. Anyone, Chris Duhon better or worse than Johnson or Lue?

Duhon is below average and misses practices about every year due to Duke functions, hurt feelings, and/or alarm clocks that malfunction. That and I think he wants more of a chance to start.
Suns should go another direction.

For the price the Suns can offer, there will be holes in the games of every candidate. I'm not impressed with Duhon either.
The guy I am most interested in is Lue. He's very fast, a good shooter (just under 39% for three, and is supposed to be a very good on the ball defender. He's not much of a playmaker, but has a better than 2 to 1 trnover to assist ratio.

He's an RFA and not a PG. Other than that, he's a great prospect.

Monta Ellis is worth his weight in gold, which, considering the value of the dollar, inflation rates, and the price of gold, may be more than buying the Warriors outright.

Imagine having Monta Ellis and Barbosa on the court at the same time. That would be sick.

I was reading that Ellis is going to be re-signed by his team and NOT traded. The rest of the team is on it's own, according to the site, to re-sign or go to other teams. Seems like they are really only concerned about keeping Ellis and who they have under contract already, and all the rest of their free agents will be testing the market. I remember there is a PG that's a free agent from Ellis' team, but I can't remember who. (Getting too old!)
