Wow I thought for sure he would go back to la especially after they got Baron Davis, I bet the clipper fans are pretty upset today. Pretty good duo the 76ers are going to have next year in Igudola and Brand to pretty good scorers.

I bet Baron Davis never signs there if he thought Brand wasn't coming back. I think he is tired of playing on teams without a legit big man.

Like I said, I don't get this move for Brand, the Clippers are a much better team (especially w/ Baron). I guess he's just assuming he's got a guaranteed spot in the playoffs in the East.

Doesnt he have family over there? And after being in a suit all last season, going on cruise control in the East seems MUCH more favorable.

The Clippers are a horrible franchise. Brand isn't the first player to leave them high and dry.

.....and no one gets any better out west. All of these moves negate one another in terms of power.

Rumors out of LA saying that the Clips press conference with Baron is now being "postponed". Has Davis actually inked a deal with them? If not the Clippers are royally screwed. Kinda feel bad for them actually - Brand wanted them to go out and get Baron. They do and now he bolts for Philly.

It could be the Clips that backed out. If they're losing Brand maybe they don't see any sense in paying Davis a ton of money. This is the team owned by the other Donald.

None of the FAs can sign a deal during the week long moratorium. They agree to deals now but they aren't official until the moratorium is over

I can't see how this helps Baron. My read on it is that the Warriors begin with a sarlary structure of just under $37 million. Unless my match is wrong, Maggette's contract will start at about $8 million. This will mean the Warriors will have only about $12 million; so the Warriors cannot do a sign and trade that starts at more than about $12 million.

No free agents can sign any contracts until Wednesday, 9 July 2008 (unless the league postpones the moratorium like they did last year). So NO, Davis hasn't signed yet.
