Earl Clark
LaMarcus Aldridge light? A few inches shorter, but the guys got similar game, well rounded, and even looks similar. I've been big on Aldridge for a while. I wish our whole bench could get more minutes, but this guy and Dudley (I expect the ball to swish every time he shoots) definitely need more. I suppose Gentry knows what he's doing though and they really get more minutes than a lot of other benches too I think.

He'll get burn. Definitely has potential. Need to see more than one game tho. I can't recall a game other than this last one where he looked particularly impressive

Clark has shown he could defend well. That's all. Nailing a couple of jump shots in garbage time doesn't make you the second coming of Durant or Aldridge or even Odom as yet.

Just for fun, I would like an NBA coach to start his bench.

Most fans around the league wouldn't like it if they shelled out for tickets.
But, with our exciting backup players, our fans probably would not mind.
But, as you said, just for fun.

He does have sweet form on his jumper. Let's see how he rebounds and blocks shots.

I don't think this is the answer but it would send a message to Amare if it were feasible... but it is not.
The reality is Amare would start pouting and demanding a trade if he were benched when there is no market for him. Then team chemistry would really get messed up. Also Clark is not ready to start for a playoff team.

Earl Clark is very quick for a guy of his size, he has a nice jumpshot, and he also has a big body to get rebounds. He could be an Amare-lite if he got a little bit more aggressive. Only time will tell if he amounts to anything. At least he is getting minutes. The only thing I worry is that with this kind of run and gun offense, the kid won't learn how to play proper defense.

Different position but similar to Joe Johnson in that he he has a lot of raw talent, is very athletic, multi-dimensional....

Please... just don't turn Clark into yet another undersized PF when he could be a very good SF with perfect size.

Agreed.
The future for the SUNS at SF is obviously not Grant Hill,
and J.Dudley is a good young, versatile player but I'm not sure I'd project Duds as our future small forward either.
Clark is clearly a bit of a project, but hopefully he's being projected primarily at SF next to a true PF who can post up,rebound and bang a little.
