Coro reports that Brooks will be suspended for today's game vs the Clippers. This is for throwing the ball at the ref during the GS game. Apparently the Suns only found out today despite having a day game.
I'm not all that surprised at the suspension, but why wait to let the team know until just hours before the tip-off? The Warriors game was two days ago. Hope Dowdell is ready.

Stupid. Why not give the Suns some sort of warning?

At the time of the incident I thought a suspension would be forthcoming as it was caught on camera for all to see. However, I was kind of hoping it would get ignored. Brooks suspensions are not helping him build a good reputation.

Like i mentioned when Brooks deal went down, i didnt like him because he was a head case, volatile and always appeared to exhibit "on the court" Napoleon syndrome whenever we played Houston. But he has been nothing but well behaved since he has been with the Suns. I personally dont see any thing that will warrant that suspension, sure he was pissed but i doubt he really meant to "THROW IT AT" the official.
So stupid. He get suspended for throwing the ball a lil too hard at the ref? Its not like it hit him on the face, or suffered an injury from it or anything!
Good news is Bynum also got suspended for his cheap shot on Beasley. So when we play them, their only two "bigs" will be Odom and Gasol.

In all honesty, he didn't toss it, he fired it. Whether it was at a ref, down the court or into the stands, it did (as you said) show that he was pissed.
He asked for the suspension on that play. Hopefully he learned by it.
