Amare to Chicago deal "close to finalizing?"
From Paul Coro
"The Suns are close to finalizing a trade with Chicago that will send Amare and Jason Richardson to Chicago for Brad Miller, John Salmon, Kirk Hinrich, & Tyrus Thomas."

Where do you see this? That article does not mention any such trade.
Ahhh...Never-mind, it's in the comments section from Paul.

Something please just hurry up and happen. I don't even care if there's no draft picks included. Just get something done. Ok I kinda care.

For those of you who are Cap geniuses, what does this potentially do for us cap wise for this off-season?

I don't think this is genuine. Perhaps someone with a fake profile posted this? It says the profile is marked private. Coro's profile in the comment he posted earlier is not private, and there's no pic.

I think this is about the best deal we could have hoped for...
I REALLY hope we get their 1st round pick at least this year though...

Anybody else notice how even when a deal leaks out the final trade is always a little different than what's originally reported?

This would be a damned good deal. Still would like to find a way to get a pick, but I wouldn't cry over it....

Yep, this is BS, it's too good to be true. I checked it on RealGm and it works trade wise, but Suns will be way over the cap and we all know the banker won't allow it

But for the life of me, I can't imagine why someone would want to own an NBA team if he cared more about breaking even than winning a championship. What's the point? Anyway, if I were fortunate enough to own an NBA team, I would never, ever, EVER favor my pockets over a chance at a title. It's like going to Vegas for a guy's weekend and refusing to lose more than $100. Why even go then? Just stay home.-Bill Simmons

Doesn't Miller expire at the end of the year? Wouldn't the cap hit only be half of the difference since the trade would be in Feb?

Sub Jerome James for Hinrich and it works and REDUCES our cap AND it's a good deal for us with a protected pick....
Remove Salmons altogether and add a loosely protected #1 and it's a good deal....
Both of these scenarios leave CHI with way too much in the backcourt though....

This would be horrible...
We have no need for Hinrich and his contract is longer than JRich..
