So I was looking forward to getting mine on the 9th, but it never came. After looking into the matter I found out that since I had my tax refund split disbursed to two different accounts, I have to have a paper stimulus check mailed to me....in June.
Bummer.

Well Saturday's mail had 2 things, a letter from the IRS saying my girlfriends was due by 5-16. The other was a check for the full amount from the IRS. No idea why she got a check we used direct deposit for her tax refunds, but at least she got hers. Mine is due by 5-16.

I haven't gotten my check yet. I have, however, gotten a letter telling me I'll be getting my check within 4 more days. How many of those completely useless letters did they send? I'm ok with the suspense, they could have saved the money used for mailing those out.

I actually agree the concept is bass ackwards but of course I'm not going to refuse $600.

It would cost us taxpayers a lot less to just have been given a $600 deduction at time of filing 07 returns - or defer to next year for 08. But oh well.....

Yep completely agree, they're returning "our" money but would have been easier to do it before. This way it's a big deal which is of course politically motivated.
