Rajon Rondo not signing extension

Can't blame him to be honest. The Celtics offer him just 5yrs/45M$.

That's a joke for a young PG who is already up there with the best and probably the best defender at the PG spot in the league, averaging a triple double in last years playoffs.

He is going to get better too.

Honestly which PG is clearly better than Rondo right now? Chris Paul and Deron Williams, everything else is debatable.

I'll put Rondo on par with Tony Parker, Steve Nash and Billups right now.

Not me. Rondo is behind both Parker and Billups and closer to equal to Nash.

If i was to start building a basketball team(today) Rondo would be my prototype PG....
Then i'd go find a big man that could defend & rebound.....then find a bunch of scorers ,who will at least try to defend, and fill it up.

Indeed he is going to averave double digits assists, near 3 steals per game, a bunch of boards and about 15ppg if he plays about 35 mpg.

Westbrook could become better than Rondo but he isn't right now and neither is Rose.

Rondo is the best young PG in the league if you dont count Chris Paul and Deron Williams as young anymore.

He is clearly outplaying Rose as well. What an all-around monster this guy is... great defense, 7 rebounds and 12 assists in 21 minutes.

10ppg 11apg 5rpg 3spg 64% in 30mpg is terrific if he can keep this up when you consider that there is no better defender at the #1 spot.

But hey according to Mike D'Antoni he wasnt good enough for us.
