They're going to have a 93M payroll this coming season.
Meant this for other NBA talk, move pls.

I wish the Suns could get Gortat. I'd give them a second round pick. It's only fair.

Why do you want Gortat? The guy is awful. And he's being paid $6m per year for the next 4 years.

I'm desperate for another center. I'm not even sure about Lopez' health.

But there are a lot better options than Gortat. I think people might look at the saga of his signing last summer (Dallas offering a big contract and Orlando matching), it made him look like they thought he was a major player.
But his stats and performance from 09/10 refutes that. He's getting paid the same as Channing Frye, and Frye is MUCH better than Gortat, and everyone thinks Frye is paid too much.

I don't understand the interest in him either. He is a pretty decent rebounder but is mediocre at best in all other areas. Rebounding may be weak on the Suns right now but I don't see why they'd want to spend 6mil per for a rebounding specialist(in fairness I'm not sure why they decided to pay 6mil per for a big that is a 3pt shooting specialist either).

The Suns don't need a one dimensional stiff. We need at least a two dimentional stiff.

Gortat, playing starter minutes, would be about as effective as Luc Longley was.

Wow, too bad they still don't have a shot to take out Miami.
This is too bad for Reddick too, He would have been a great fit in Chicago.
