Magic In Talks for Vince Carter

The Magic would get Vince Carter & Ryan Anderson in exchange for sending Rafter Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee.

I am not sure how I feel about this. With Lewis will Vince fit?

I think this deal will end up biting the Magic in the backside. Carter is over rated and a serious injury risk, Alston played great for them last year and Courtney Lee was a player worth giving a shot. The Magic won the East and played a hard series with the Lakers, they were a very good team, a blow up like this doesn't make much sense to me. We'll see what happens, if Carter stays healthy and they get Hedo back they might be a better team. My gut says this move backfires on the Magic big time.

From a talent standpoint, I don't see this as sensible by the Magic. Magic could drop out of contention for East crown with this one. No way in Hell is Carter a better player than Turkoglu and makes more money ( so far ). Sending Rafer Alston away probably is because Jameer nelson and he create a conflict and Jameer gets the money. How do Rashard Lewis, who has a difficult enough time getting the ball now, without Carter, get it more. Gortat will be gone FA. I suspect they are a worse team now than before the deal. All because they didn't want to pay Hedo. Orlando may have peaked. They have a history of dumping really good players. The Amway business must be in the dumper.

I absolutely agree. Orlando didn't wait long to kill themselves, they will soon be a forgotten one hit wonder. Too bad because I actually liked the Magic.
