Jerryd Bayless
Needs to follow Channing Frye out of Portland as soon as possible.
His talents are wasted there, if he was on the Suns getting Barbosa's minutes he would be a 6th man of the year contender like Barbosa or instead of Dragic.
We need to keep track of this guy, when he is available for cheap we should try hard to get him.

Portland's trying to make him a PG, which he's never been nor will ever be. Let him be a Jason Terry or Leandro Barbosa or Ben Gordon and I'm assuming Jerryd would likely thrive.

I love me some Bayless. He needs to get the hell out of Portland.
Travis Outlaw too.

I would rather trade Barbosa, no need to bring in Bayless if we still have Barbosa. Besides, Dudley is a keeper.

I would do this but Earl Clark makes Outlaw redundant. I would do a Admunson + Barbosa swap for Pryzbilla, Bayless, and a 1st rounder.

And you would be the only one. Portland will not take that package and Phoenix wouldn't offer it. Barbosa is not going anywhere. He is signed to a very reasonable deal. In a time where we are worried about our payroll we wouldn't trade Barbosa.

Would you rather have Bayless than Barbosa? I certainly wouldn't.

In the long run? Most likely yes seeing how he is much younger and cheaper at this point.
If we could get him for cheap somehow we could use Barbosa as trade bait to improve in a different area.
Of course we won't do anything this season, it will be rather boring unless Amare rumors surface.

I am not sure Bayless would fit this team... FOr starters, he has only made 8 3s in his short career thus far, granted in limited minutes, but 8 in 66+ games is not what the suns are looking for...
I agree with Mao about him not being a PG, but he is like a heavily in debt poor man's Jason Terry of Ben Gordon...
I sure a hell would not trade dudley or barbs for him, maybe if the blazers don't pick up his option for 2011 he would be an interesting player as a min or near min player, but I am not sold that he can solidly contribute to a competitve team in the NBA....

there was a rason why he was projected so high up, even higher than russell Westbrook. Bring him in, and see what he can do.

Well the Blazers need a big or a wing, not sure if we can offer that in any way.
We can't really afford to give up Lopez. Dudley is an obvious no. Clark has too much potential.
Amundson is unlikely to be traded as well but Tucker and Amundson would work financially for Bayless.
Maybe they would have some interest in JRich at the 3. I'd go for a deal that gives us shorter contracts for JRich but the Blazers can't really put together contracts needed to get a high paid player unless they deal Pryzbilla which they obviousl will not after Oden is done.

Point of this thread it to get Bayless, having him and Barbosa doesn't make sense. Bayless is cheaper, younger and if given Barbosa minutes could be just as effective if not more.

Completely disagree. Bayless hasn't proven anything on the NBA level, and he certainly hasn't shown the ability to hit the 3. Barbosa is a proven above average 3 point shooter, and much better offensively. Bayless is a decent young talent but definitely redundant with Leandro.

Hold on, Bayless is just a rookie. Barbosa didn't develop until his third year, plus Bayless is not getting the minutes. You give Bayless 25 minutes a game and you will see Barbosa type numbers and not in 3 years. He has 3 point range if you saw him play at St. Mary's and UA, again its hard to prove it when your sitting on the bench behind Brandon Roy.
