Biggest Busts of the 2009 Draft
I have to say Rubio and Hasheem Thabeet and to a lesser extent, Stephen Curry adn Jrue Holiday. I do not see it in any of them to succeed at the NBA level.

Thabeet
Mullens
Jennings
Budginer
*Tyreke Evans
*If teams try and make Evans into a point guard he will be a bust, at that position.

Id say Buddinger, Mullins, Daye and Hansbrough, but they wont likely be picked high enough to be considered busts. Maybe Thabeet, who will be in the league a long time but probably never make an All Star appearance.
I think Rubio is the real deal though.

No question about it. The biggest bust is going to be Hasheem Thabeet. He does not like playing with contact. He will get destroyed in this league.

I project him to be a Theo Ratliff-type. Which i'd take on this SUNS team immediately.
Budinger will suck.

Rubio's got such good court awareness and ball handling skills/distribution ability that even if he doesn't develop in to an NBA caliber scoring threat, he'll still have a productive career.
Bust Wise:
BJ Mullens: Barely saw the floor with Ohio State. He's got a ton of upside, but still needs a ton of work. He's the biggest project in this draft, by far. Unfortunately, when you have a project pick that has a crappy work ethic and alleged lacsidasical (sic) view on the sport, I can't imagine him having the lightbulb flash, and see him flaming out badly.
Jordan Hill: I can't help but think unless Hill hits the weight room with regularity, he's going to get pushed around by NBA Power Forwards. On top of things, he's got injury history and foul troubles. He's got a good work ethic, of my three busts, he's the one I could see actually having a little bit of success, but with his lack of physical size and strength and injury history, I just don't have a good feeling.
Jrue Holliday: First off, this is a guy who averaged a whopping 5.6 PPG in UCLA's final 12 games. Secondly, we're basing his ability to be a good, hell even PASSABLE PG in the NBA on what?? A few solid workouts? Sorry, but the point is the toughest position in the NBA to conquer/master. He wasn't much of a scorer or distributor in college, and I sure don't see him becoming one in the NBA.

Jrue Holliday is going to be a really good player in the NBA. Don't forget he had to play out of position in college. He is a flat out stud on defense and will be able to add to his offense. He already has good court vision. He will not be a bust. And I guess I should add Hansborough to my list of busts since he was taken way to early. He will be a terrible pro.

I would say at least 2/3 of the first round will be marginal at best, out of the league at worst. This was one really weak draft. Who will be anointed the biggest bust depends on who is the highest drafted player not to succeed. That just may go to Thabeet because he has absolutely no offense. He will be a mighty expensive off the bench player. He may set a rookie record for defensive squat in the lane 3 second violations. I would bet Sam Young gets more rookie playing time for the Griz.

Tyreke Evans.. in a team like Washington, he would be great, because they have Arenas that can play pg and sg, so they can rotate. But Sacremento are in need of a TRUE pass first pg, not a combo.. But that being said, if he stays in Sacremento, I dont see him expanding his game much.
