GM 6: Knights vs. Gotham Dark Knights
My internet is down at work...and will probably not be working till Monday.
I have a feeling these guys aare gonna "boost" on us...considering that we've already beat them twice.
These guys like to pass long and will continue to pass no matter the score. Hopefully they won't use the WR screen on us.
Superspck...I haven't found much time to tinker with the AIO...but I'm going to try a 50% AIO and 50% Strong I in the first and 3rd quarter. I'm hoping that that will help give the WR more room to operate.
Everyone keep your settings like the last game.
I'm going to be implementing some defensive changes to prepare for the strong I and WR screens - just to be on the safe side.

LOL...I noticed in the lst game I had the AIO set for 1st and 4th quarter....I corrected it to 1st and 3rd quarter.
The main reason is to beat up the other team's defense so that the running game really works on them in the 2nd nd 4th quarters.

"go for int only if help over the top"
CB's ...there is some folks in GLB that this setting isn't working. We had a couple long TD passes in the last game that just seemed odd.
Opinions?

you've basically described exactly whats been happening to our CBs. we've been seeing this for a few games now (its never happened before this season), and its happened with fast WRs, slow WRs, against any of our CBs, all of which have over 50 vision.
here are some of the plays:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay...pbp_id=3759418
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay...pbp_id=3761101
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay...pbp_id=4098542
(i have other plays similar to this as well, but these are the most obvious)
in each case, the CBs were set for "go for int only if help over the top." in all the cases, it was obvious there was no help over the top. also in all the cases, the CB is always "safely" behind the WR up to when the ball is thrown (you can pause for each case).. but then always charges at the pass (going for INT?) and blows the play badly.
i have no problem if a WR is just faster, or a CB gets beat on any given play. but it seems like they are acting against a clear setting.

All defense play "hard".
I want the CB's to try this Coverage Style:
Loose: Play it safe and try not to get beat
Lets see how it affects our defense.
I also moved Doomsday at ROLB to see if his speed can disrupt those WR screens.

Take a look at the coverage...did he cover any different?
For example, I can tell Gunner played medium coverage:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay...pbp_id=4551761
It looks like he was going fer the interception...use the "pause" and you can see when Gunner goes for the pick. Notice he has no help over the top?
I think the " Medium: Go for the interception only if you have help over the top" coverage tactic is broken.

BTW - great job everyone!
This was a nice solid game all around.
The offense controlled the tempo...the special teams had 2 early TD's...and the defense really brought some pressure to help out the secondary.
The secondary did a heck of a job in controlling their passing.
Do you guys realize we're 7-1 including the preseason?
