Game 2 Leningrad Czars vs. Murmansk Arctic Wolves (Strategy, Tactics)

Now the season really starts. This will a evenly matched game for the most part, so I actually have to do some research. We have to go into the game against the Dungeoneers 3-0. I will have tactics tomorrow morning.

One a side note, Thunder leveled up and used it all on catching.

Pariah, you need to pay Michael Buffer a one million dollars for use of that.

Defense, Everyone will play on Hard intensity. This is a tough match up, but our next game is a easy one, so we need to play hard with this one. They are a pass first team, which is funny since they have a stronger running game.

Tackling Style: Wrap up (Secondary and DL) Power (LB)

Play Type: Pass(for secondary and DL) Balanced (LB)

Man Coverage: Close (All)

Coverage Style: Medium (All)

Pass Rushing: Elusive (Secondary and LB) Combo (DL)

Brooklyn Hammer is the primary backup at LB.

Banky -

We got a new option on the d-line...right know BRB ia set on combo.

Pass Rush Style
Evasive: try to get around the blocker using agility
Combo: switch it up between evasive and power style randomly
Power: Bull-rush and try to power through any blockers in your way

Yup, I saw that. I want the whole DL to stay on combo right now with the way that one game went the in the threat that you first bought this up. At least until I can see a way to combat that in the AI tactic section. {;us. I think staying on Combo with keep the other team on their toes.

It's probably obvious, but I'll say it anyway. They're likely going to really key on stopping the run based on our game 1 output.

Way to go out on a limb on that one!

Looking at the "JK" breakdowns, stats, and play-by-play here's what I see:

First game, 45-3 loss for the Wolves.

Offense

The Wolves barely rushed, but when they did it was most successful to the right.

They did their most efficient passing over the middle, with short/medium distances.

The RB (catch me) has hands, catching 8 balls. The TE had 9 catches. That explains the efficient passing over the middle, now we have to button it up. ILB's have to be on their game and we have to be prepared to shut him down. They only had 1 deep pass, so we may be able to double up the TE with a ILB under and a SS over.

Defense

They had trouble stopping the Berlin rushing attack.

Their secondary was more active in racking up stats than was the DL. No sacks, 2 hurries.

The Rebels found most of their passing success over the middle as well. Looking at the "tape", around 80% of the time, the safeties roll outside the hashmarks, heading for deep zone coverage immediately, the SS only takes TE near the redzone, and only then infrequently. IF they use the same gameplan this is a huge problem we can exploit.

They aren't afraid to send the corner on a blitz, leaving the LB on a WR. Usually the blitz comes from the left.

Recomendations

Use the middle of the field on offense. Both in running and passing, that seems to be a weak spot, at least against the Rebels. Control the tempo with the running game is able, the secondary appears to be better than the front 7.

W 27-24

Thunder had a 80 game winning TD
. The defense played much better than the 24 points given up. Two of the scored were from turnover over giving them great field position. One was on a loss of downs from going for it on a 4 and a half yard and the other on a INT. They alos hit a 51 year field goal. We had 3 sacks, 17 PD's. Only one INT though, nut I expect those numbers to go up.

This is a nice win on the road against a decent playoff team.
