Game 13 Leningrad Czars vs. Moscow Thunder (Strategy, Tact
We should beat this guy. They are all his players and he does not play smart.

I think one of the things I've learned from playing as a Coordinator on our B team is that we've got shockingly little control over most of what I scout and a lot of my previous recommendations border on useless.
Here's what may be useful for the Thunder:
Teams have had good success running outside. I know that's not our strength, but I think because it continually shows up it's a game design thing (in fact, I think Jug might have mentioned something about that in a previous post).
The Rebels ate the Thunder alive by passing long, but as usual, most teams just take the safe middle routes, for around 100 yards.
The Thunder run up the middle at a 2:1 clip. They do alright in the running game, but if it stalls, it's a notch in our belt. Clog the middle, bed a cheerleader I guess.
Thunder throw to the middle depth more often than anywhere else.
On first down they pass more than run, but it's hard to say if that's by design, the 3 most recent contests I looked at were all lopsided in one way or another.
They almost always run on second down (seems like useful information). They almost always pass on third.

SuperSpck, that is great stuff. I adjusted the defense to reflect that. I also change second down tactics to defend the rush.
J-Bad, do not change your settings from what they were for the last game.
Defense, Backups on Hard intensity and starters on Normal.
Tackling Style: Wrap up (All)
Play Type: Pass (All)
Man Coverage: Close (LB and DL) Medium (Secondary)
Coverage Style: Medium (ALL)
Pass Rushing: Elusive (All)

Not to add any pressure to myself...but I bit the bullet and overhauled Beta Ray Bill's equipment to be more a speed rusher.
I have no idea on how he'll perform - but I'm expecting big things for the 2nd half. Hopefully he'll generate more hurries and sacks to help out the secondary.

We played the 4-3 most of the game.
Was this by design?

I set up the defense by formations and downs based on the scouting we got. All second downs where 4-3 as well as any I-formations. All other downs and 3 or more WR sets were 3-4. I keep buiding on the defense AI. I seemed to work out pretty well.

Speed and agility is definitely the way to go for a pass rusher. I created a new DE, Rex Rawhead and am slow building him into a speed rusher. No more strength. Speed, agility, vision....and repeat.
