Why won't the players agree to tie Revenues with players costs?


I think that would have been the best way to go....

I've read that the players union doesn't trust the leagues numbers... I think everything should be public in that regard and they have mediator accountants that review the numbers to make sure they are nonbiased...

Because they're greedy pieces of dung.

The owners are just plain stupid for letting salaries escalate in the first place.

They dont trust the numbers. However, they wont go over the owner's books (even after repeated invitations), nor will they meet with Leavitt, who created the financial report of the NHL in the first place.
