Those 2-0 Coyotes
While we were definitely scrambling at the end tonight, a 2-0 win over the Crappy Ducks and a 2-0 start to the season would seem to bode well for the future.
Great 1st period, great tempo, great speed, we deserved better than just a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately after that, we got more and more passive as the game went along, particularly in the 3rd period, though, even with that, Burke was never really tested until the last few minutes. We looked pretty composed in our own end until the last minute, when we had real problems getting the puck out , but it all came to good when Langkow iced the win.
Kudos on the night to Doan, Gratton, Burke, Tanabe and Nash. Vaananen was having a standout night until the 3rd, when his penchant for leaving his feet constantly in front of his net put us in hot water several times. But, then again, nows not the time to nitpick. Were 2-0! On to Florida.
