Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that the Coyotes have traded left wing Brian Savage to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for future considerations.
This season, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Savage has played in 61 games, recording 12 goals, 13 assists, 25 points and 36 penalty minutes (PIM). In three seasons with the Coyotes, he has played in 134 games, recording 24-29-53 and 66 PIM.
Savage was acquired from Montreal along with a 3rd round choice (
Matt Jones) in the 2002 Entry Draft and future considerations for Sergei Berezin, January 25, 2002. He was originally Montreals 11th choice, (8th round, 171st overall) in the 1991 Entry Draft.
