Wow. Okay, I take nothing away from the Flyers at all. They came out and flat-out earned the lead. They've played aggressively in the 1st period and deserve to be ahead. That said, this game so far is the single worst officiated NHL game I have ever seen. Apparently it's legal for you to continue to hit after the whistle, constantly...if you're a Flyer. If you respond, well, that's just not allowed. Also, it's apparently illegal for you to ever touch another player, because if you simply touch a player with your hand...not hold, not punch, but TOUCH, it's a penalty...if your a Penguin. The tally thus far? Flyers 1, Refs 2, Pens 0. Okay, that's a tad unfair. The Flyers still had to score the puck, but they were handed two powerplays on golden platters. I mean, how DARE Gonchar touch a Flyer? How DARE Orpik become miffed at being cross-checked in the back after the whistle? Sheesh.

Thankfully the officiating actually became good in the 2nd and 3rd. Man, we made a heck of a run at tying it up. Oh well. A last gasp from a desperate beast. We'll close it out a home, just like with the Rangers. I am getting tired of the awful Versus crew, though. A fight breaks out, so we go to hockey central? Ugh.

Tough break, but at least I get to watch the game on Sunday. Sucks having to work late, especially when the East Coast games are on. I think NBC does a great job, too, and it will be nice to watch the game in Pittsburgh. Go Pens.

Alright Stout. I now can man up and bow down like a man. The Pens were by far the better team. I'm proud of my boys but disappointed how things turned out. Good luck the rest of the way bro. This is where I get off. (Could care less about the rest of the NHL)

I may hate the Flyers, but you guys had some bad breaks with injuries too. Not saying you would have come close to winning, but that had to be frustrating.
