The arena is pretty nice. The sneak peak did it no justice. I was surprised at how loud it is. The music is literally defining, and at times you can't even hear the whistles. I think it's definitely a good home. Although I miss the Warron Zevon song after goals the horn is a solid addition. It almost feels like the horn in the old Chicago Stadium. But they should play Zevon after the horn. It's pretty stupid to play some same old arena song when you had something original going. If you haven’t gone you should check it out. Or even check out a lacrosse game.

I would much rather have the Zevon song play instead of that silly horn. It was different and it was classic. I noticed they removed the song on the very first goal against the PReds by Savage. Another disappointment.

All in all, the benefits of the new arena far out weigh any disappointments - although I agree with you about the Zevon tune.

Yeah, I can't believe they got rid of it. And after the horn they play that stupid "hey" song that has been played in every arena in the world for the last 10 years. They replaced something original with literally the most overplayed song in sports arenas. That is a joke. I wonder who is in charge of these decisions?

You know all these minor changes come at Gretzky's suggestions. Change the original goal celebration song to one that has been played at every arena for decades, get an organist playing at the games ... and just about every other minor change is hockey traditional.

Of course, whatever the great one wants he gets.

I don't mind the organ though.

I do miss hearing Werewolves after a goal. I love the horn but I wish they would go back to the old song
