Tied for first, don't know how long that will last. If Tellqvist can play like he is capable, just maybe this team can be competitive enough to get the hopes of the fans up.
I was totally shocked to hear it was announced as a sellout. There were some unused seats (Dbacks playoff game will do that), but there were a bunch of people turned away at the ticket office. I really was expecting them to be south of 15k tonight.

Wow. I was expecting a poor turnout, too.
Solid game by the Coyotes last night. Another classic Keith Ballard performance, too.
Believe it or not, but I think this year's team could beat last year's "old man" veteran team. Guys like Hanzal, Weller, Winnik, and Mueller are skating hard and flying down the ice. So is the Doaner, Carcillo, etc.
There is defintely a lot more desire to play hard than the casual skating of Nagy and Comrie last season.
I think the Coyotes will surprise people this year. I've been to three games already and I have far more confidence of the Coyotes being able to win than last year. They play hard for the full 60 minutes.
There's been a lot of whispers involving Jovo to the Rangers, possibly with goaltending prospect Al Montoya coming in return. He has a no-trade clause that he would have to waive, and his salary means that the Rangers would have to move some money to make it fit, but since we're neck deep in this rebuild it is probably the smart move to get rid of his contract. Getting a guy like Montoya in return would be a big boost to the rebuild, especially after watching all of our goalies bomb in the preseason. It is pretty evident that we don't have a goalie on our roster that will be our future starter.
More Jovo rumors, this time linking him with San Jose. The Sharks tried to acquire him early last season as well, but his salary is making him a tough move.
