Very nice win but that Edmonton loss kind of stings. After their game at Minnesota they have five straight home games, hopefully they can start playing better at home.

Tellqvist embarrassed himself tonight on three of those goals. Terrible game for him. The Coyotes fought hard to get the tying goal with less than two minutes left in the game, but it was pretty clear that they weren't at their best with Vrbata and Reinprecht out. Losing those two points to Columbus (who before tonight was a point ahead of Phoenix) really hurts with the Coyotes looking for the 8th playoff spot.
I'm sure that Nash highlight will be on youtube in a few minutes, it was the goal of the year so far this season. Just too bad that distinction comes at the expense of the Coyotes, seems that happens frequently.
The Nash goal was unbelievable. That is easily one of the best goals I have ever seen. Its almost worth the loss to see that. He threw 5 jukes on that play. Unreal. Telly was helpless. Best goal since Ovechkin's on his back.

Winnik scored 54 seconds into the game against the Buffaslugs. Buffalo has been struggling recently, going winless in their last 10 games before beating Atlanta 10-1 so its important to get a win here to stay in the playoff race.
Nice to see all those Sabres fan going home unhappy.
I love the MLK day games. Two years ago the Coyotes got beat badly by Washington and the Ovechkin rolling goal, but they have come through last season against the Blues (in OT) and this year beating up on the Sabres.
If the Coyotes get a 2 point Win in regulation time tonight in Columbus (combined with a Nashville tie or loss to the Boston Bruins), the Coyotes will move into 8th place in the Western Conference, having one more win than idle Colorado in the same number of games played.
Although the game is not on TV locally, it is being broadcast on FSN-Ohio. The Center Ice package is currently on free preview for the next week or so, so I'm hoping the game is available on DIRECTV channel 777 in Phoenix.
