Anyone that justifies Betuzzi's sucker punch is a moron.

Moore breaks his neck on the punch and you hear people claim that it was the NHL's fault.

Bertuzzi should A.) Go to jail B.) Be suspended for the rest of the year.

I still can't believe he did that with Moore's back facing him... wuss.

ESPN reported Moore is out for the season. Bertuzzi should be suspended for the rest of the year and should face jail time. If he did what he did on the streets he would be locked up right now. That has to go down as one of the cheapest sucker punches of all-time. Right up there with Kermit Washington on Rudy T.

Not just out for the season...from what I have heard (this a.m. on ESPN) they don't even know when Moore will get out of the hospital and IF he'll play again. If he can't play I say Bertuzzi pays Moore's salary.

I have no problem with fighting in hockey but this was BS. If a player won't drop his gloves you don't attck him from behind. And Brad Mays big mouth is what bounced him off the Yotes. Good riddance I say.

The fact that he sucker punched him like a coward is despicable. If you want payback for the hit on naslund, then drop gloves go toe to toe and fight it out. This was deplorable and in case anybody has not thought of it, the way Moore fell and then go piled on, he could have actually died.

Bertuzzi should not see the ice again for the rest of this regular season and playoffs. A message has to be sent and it has to be heard. He will screw up his teams chances at the Cup maybe by this assinine act.

What is worse, is that this supposed payback for the hit on Naslund was payback for a hit that, IMO wasn;t even a cheap shot. It was a strange hit as Naslund wa falling it looked like and just ended bad.

But the worse thing of all? The repsonse from around the league. If I have to hear it called "an unfortunate incident" one mroe freaking time, I may scream. It wasn't unfortunate...there are much more appropriate adjectives:

Pre-meditated, unjustified, deplorable, despicable, idiotic, repulsive, cowardice...to name a few.

Bertuzzi should be held legally accountable...he should be charged and made to pay the penalty for stalking and attacking a player...a player that was defenseless to what was behind him.

I agree. It was a clean hit. I have not followed Moore but at least this hit (on Naslund) was clean IMO.

The thing that bothered me the most about this video was after bertuzzi hit Moore (and moore's body sort of crumple) he landed on top of him and continued to wail on him. I mean the guy broke his neck. He could have easily died out there. I say let the police look into it and find him guilty of assualt. That has no place in hockey or anywhere for that matter. Plain and simple.
