Hi All, AZ Offaly on board
Hi All,
Just found this forum today. I'm from county Offaly in Ireland, currently living and working near Limerick. I picked up my love for all things Arizona in a 4 year spell working with Dial Corporation in Scottsdale and Phoenix.
I was a season ticket holder for the Cardinals for 4 years, from 1997 to 2000 inclusive, before I returned home in 2001, back in the latter Kent Graham days, and at the start of Jake Plummer's career.
I also used to attend quite a few Diamondbacks and Coyotes games, as well as the odd Suns game in America West.
So, anyhow, thanks to NASN and Sky Sports here in Europe, I'm able to keep up to date on most of the happenings back in the Desert, and of course the old internet is handy too.
So that's me. Look forward to chatting about the Cards, (Wahoo, how nice is that finally) Diamondbacks, 'Yotes and Suns, as well as the college teams.
Cheers
AZ Offaly

I did indeed. I was only there for a few months though, probably April '97 to Thanksgiving of that year, or thereabouts. We then moved up to Scottsdale, where they had the big plant on Scottsdale Road and Greenway.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. You'd be surprised where you'd see a Cardinals jersey. We've had NFL on TV in Ireland since 1985 or so, and the Fridge's superbowl against the Patriots, and I was a fan since. There's quite a few NFL fans in Ireland.
In recent times Sky Sports (a partner of Fox, owned by Rupert Murdoch as well) has really come good for NFL coverage in Ireland and the UK. We get the Thursday night game, although it's very late over here, a triple header on Sunday, and the Monday Night Football as well.
It's not as good as drinking a few pints in Bandersnatch before heading over to Kush Field back in the old days, but it's still great to be able to watch the games live.
I've been to both NFL games in Wembley, and you're always likely to see a few Cardinals jersies around the place. Most people on this side of the world support the Patriots, Giants, 49ers (Montana was huge over here as well), Dolphins (Ditto Marino) or Bears, but all the other teams have a few fans for various reasons.

Ha, I was there for a year back in '98-'99. Worked on the 13th floor, awesome view. Especially when storms would roll in from the northeast.
