A solitary Cards fan

I am a long time viewer. I have not posted myself due to the moronic internet bickering that goes on. However this site seems relatively civil.

I come here first before visiting national media sites to get much of my Cardinals news. People here seem to be well informed true Cards fans who for the most part post useful information. In fact I should thank you for all the great info over the years. You've been my unpaid (sorry I'm poor) but certainly appreciated Cards related sports reporters. Special thanks to Mitch.

I myself became a Cardinals fan at a very young age (early 70's) and have been a LOYAL follower ever since, although many said I was crazy (including myself). I have been through the good (1984...Come on N. O'Donohue! 1988...N. Lomax hurt, NOOO! 1994...Desert swarm! 1998...Finally! 2007...A coach!), the bad (To many to rehash, but...Kelly Stoufer ahead of Rod Woodson and Jerome Brown!?!? COME ON!), and the great (2008...RUN Fitz! 2009...RUN Los!). I believe this team is doing a lot of things right these days and am looking forward to some good years ahead. My favorite Cards players have been: 1. K. Warner 2. R.Green 3. Aeneas Williams.

I have always lived on the east coast (FL mainly) and have always been the only Cardinals fan in the room, school, work, sports bar, etc... In fact I have never met another Cards fan in person. Therefore I look forward to chatting on occasion.

It wasn't too long ago that you could be the only Card fan in the room here in Arizona.

Welcome to ASFN! I can relate to being the only Cards fan for miles. Up until four years ago, I lived in Jersey. I think I met one other fan in all my years there.

Do you still live in Florida?

Yes. I know Jersey too. My mothers side of the family is from there. I used to visit Point Pleasant and the Jersey shore yearly as a kid to visit family. My mother wanted her southern sons to know that Jersey wasn't the crap hole everyone makes it out to be. She is right, it is quite nice for the most part. It's the garden state after all.

Thanks for the welcome. How about if the Cardinals win the Super Bowl within the next five years, I'll fly out to "the west coast of Arizona" and take you out for all the rum and cokes we can drink.
