When was the last time this happened?
So I went to look at UA's football schedule this year, (honestly, I wanted to see which cupcakes they scheduled this year) and they play USC after they play ASU...that is going to be really weird to not play ASU at the end of the year. UA is still ASU's last game so it's not going to be that bad for me as an ASU fan, but I was just wondering what you all thought.

P.S. Playing Iowa on the road is not a cupcake, I'll admit.

Yeah, you better admit that! Iowa was a top 25 team last year. They lose Shonn Greene tho, so they wil have to find other answers.
I'm not sure why they would change the schedule in that way.

UA has to play USC at some point, I could care less when it is in relation to ASU.
Pulling an ASU and getting really excited just to watch a beat-down by the Trojans on national television won't be very fun though. Maybe it'll be on Fox Sports and nobody will watch.

This just reminds me. The Cats stadium has to be one of the most hideous monstrosities in the country. It looks like it was designed by preschoolers.

Yeah, the dingy piss-soaked bathroom troughs and impossible concession areas of SDS are quite the architectural masterpieces. Both stadiums leave a lot to be desired.
FYI - Arizona Stadium is getting a complete facelift and renovation by the 2011 season opener.

Speaking of stadiums... just remember New Kinnick Stadium has pink locker rooms!

Actually, as usual, ASU has more cupcakes on the schedule than UofA does this year. I dont mind playing USC after ASU... it doesnt really matter in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully it'll be a meaningful game for the Cats.

How do you figure? Cats play Central Michigan and NAU, Devils play Idaho State and Louisiana Monroe. Other than that they play the exact same schedule except for one game. Cats play Iowa and Devils play Georgia. Georgia is a hell of a lot better that Iowa.

And Central Michigan is a whole hell of alot better than either ULM or Idaho St. NAU is a cupcake... Central Michigan is far from a cupcake. The way I see it... ASU has 2 cupcakes and a very tough road game @ Georgia. UofA has 1 cupcake, a very competitive home game against UCM and a tough roadie @ Iowa.
If you think UCM is a cupcake you may wanna look up their records over the past several seasons.

Idaho State absolutely sucks - went 1-11 last year. NAU at least will be a decent FCS level team.
And Central Michigan was not a bad team last year - went 8-5, and beat Indiana. UL-M is not a good team.
Each plays a FCS school, a non-BCS FBS school, and a FBS school OOC.
In the first two cases, UA's opponent is far better than ASU's.
Iowa had a good team last year, and will be better than UGA this season.

The only argument that you just made that I can agree on is that the cupcakes that UofA plays are a little better than the cupcakes that ASU plays. My point was ASU doesn't play more cupcakes than UofA.
Last year UofA had Idaho, Toledo and New Mexico. ASU had NAU and UNLV. Who had more cupcakes? (Neither team could beat all of the cupcakes.)

UL-M beat Arkansas last year and is a year removed from beating Alabama. :Edit: Incorrect. UL-M lost 28-27.

Hmmm. Care to make a wager? I would be willing to bet that UGA has a higher BCS ranking at the beginning and the end of the season than Iowa.

UL-M lost to Arkansas last season... and no bowl games in the last couple years. You cant really believe that UL-M is a better team than UCM? Should be interesting when the SOS rankings come out
Here is the UL-M link if you dont believe me...

I was wrong on that one. I'm not arguing that UL-M is better. I'm arguing that UofA has the same amount of cupcakes on their schedule as ASU. So they are better cupcakes. If you can't see that then your homerism is clouding your thinking.
