UofA vs UCLA - GO CATS!!
49-31 at the half. This team is clicking at the right time. UCLA is commiting their fair share of unforced turnovers, but UA continues to take advantage.

YES!!!!!!! It's a great day when we beat UCLA! Nic Wise has to be the Player of the Week. Once again the big 3 played great and Fogg again was a key player. McKale was rockin'!

HUGE win!
Pretty much locks the Cats in for the tourney providing they don't completely melt down and go 1-4 to finish up.

Great win for the Cats. The week off should give the big three much needed rest. One note on the game, I can't believe what a dirt bag Drew Gordon is. He went into the game and was mouthy and making dirty play after dirty play.

Drew Gordon's a clown. And he's not very good. Jrue Holiday is bust city.

Watched it all. Very good. I remember very well, Mao's superior know-everything post mocking my suggestion that both ASU and UA could make the tournament AND both finish ahead of UCLA.
Oh well, one fan does not nullify a fine team. Go Cats. Any game UCLA loses is a good game. Somewhere, Russ is blamming the refs right now for Howland's complete lack of an offense when UCLA can't get easy layups off turnovers.

I still believe UCLA will finish ahead of the Arizona schools, their schedule down the stretch is much easier than ASU and UA. I've also held firm that ASU and UA should make the Tournament.

And no good words for the Cats? This was a huge win for the program! Even you have to admit that!

As I've said before - this run has been a nice distraction while we wait to see who we hire in a few weeks. Very fun team to watch considering my expectation level for the team when we were down 10 at home To Houston with under a minute remaining. Kids like Nic, Chase, and Jordan deserve this kind of success considering what they were put through over the last few years.
Two more wins to number 25.

Gordon has been chippy all year. Weird too I saw him a lot in HS and he wasn't that kind of kid. But he's been getting in arguments and things in virtually every game, he seems to be looking for it.
The worst was Hill gets fouled, Gordon blocks his shot and yells loudly and then barks at hill. What the hell are you celebrating he got fouled and made both shots?
Gordon needs to learn there's a lot more to the game than being a great athlete. He's a good kid but he needs to tone himself down a bit I've been saying it all year he's going to get a T that's going to hurt us if he doesn't get under control.
Ugly game I only saw the first half and had to leave after that.
The myth of Jrue Holiday continues to be exposed, nice player, will be very good eventually but not even close to the player he was hyped to be by all the scouts. He can't shoot, he can't even shoot a jumpshot he shoots everything on the way up.

Actually the first half was all about UCLA playing bad defense and UA playing good defense forcing To's. I thought we got hurt by the refs in the ASU game specifically the charge call on Collison which essentially everyone admits was a bad call. This one, not so much on Dave libbey, UA just took it to UCLA today.
Sort of like how UCLA handed Notre Dame their heads last Saturday.

The guys on ESPN said the charge call against ASU was the worst call they have seen.
As for today's game, the UofA was the better team today. You could just see they were more pumped up and ready to play. Also, Terry and Bayless gave a pep talk to the guys before the game. I also liked how Russ had the team walk through the student section to get on the court before the start of the game.

Strong statement game for the Cats! Seven wins in a row and heading to ASU on the 22nd. I honestly didn't think things would go this well without Lute! Congrats to the !
