UofA basketball #5 in most prestigious programs since 1984

The Cats are #5. Duke is #1. NAU is ranked #136 while three Pac-10 schools were lower, including ASU who was at #181.

Congrats to UA, but NAU ahead of ASU seems a bit silly. ASU has been to the Sweet 16 in that time frame, did NAU ever get that far? (Honest question, I dont recall).

We probably got the points from all the years we won our conference's regular season, something I don't think ASU has done. Plus 20-win seasons, etc.

Well ASU doesn't play Montana in conference play, so I'm not sure its really analogous.

Despite UA and UCLA, look how lowly ranked the PAC 10 is:

Two big dogs and eight runts. Hopefully, ASU will soon help elevate the conference.

They've played some comparable schools, however.
