Looks like Miller gets another recruit out of New York
The pipeline from New York to Tucson continues. Angel Nunez is reportedly about to commit to the UofA. He is a 6' 6" forward who will be a junior next year.

Ive read some on him and apparently he could grow to 6'9 and play SG with that stroke. Thats one difficult matchup on the perimeter.

He hasn't committed yet but from all accounts it's looking good. I also read that Arizona will probably also land Naadir Tharpe who's a top 50 PG in 2011. Honestly, we should stop fretting about basketball recruiting. We'll have top ten classes in 2010, 2011, and for however many years Archie and Book Richardson hang around.

And that Nunez kid is a Francisco Garcia clone if I've ever seen one.

Rumor has it Gary Franklin could change his mind about USC and start looking at other schools. If he decided to come to the UofA, I would think Tharpe would look elsewhere.

I'm not sure we'd be there for Franklin or any Mater Dei kid with everything that happened with Reggie Geary and Miles Simon. I think it's going to take a year or two to repair that connection.

Looks like Miller is going after Ray McCallum. He was just on campus this past Sunday. I just can't see Tharpe coming to the UofA unless he is satisfied in not starting right away. Miller definitely will be bringing in a point guard who will be guaranteed to start in 2010.

We're going to recruit point guards in 2010 and 2011. Why not McCallum and Tharpe?
By 2012 Arizona is going to be a program that no matter what you're going to have to beat out a pretty talented kid to start but get recruits anyways. Elite programs do not go after players that worry about PT, they simply bring in the best players they can and let the rest figure itself out.

Good point. Hell look at UK, Calipari got Eric Bledsoe to commit knowing that John Wall was going to end up there too. Bledsoe could start over any college PG on any team in the country except John Wall.
