Demarcus Cousind & Victor Rudd to the UofA if Theus is hired?

Looks like two of the top players that are available would seriously consider playing for the UofA if Reggie Theus is the coach. I think if Livengood can't get a coach by Monday I would seriously consider Theus. He did coach under Pitino, turned New Mexico State around and can recruit with the best of them. Maybe he could have Pastner as his top assistant?

Hiring Theus might seem dumb but this program will desperately need players and it looks like some really good ones would come immediately.

Here is he thing.. why on God's green earth would ANY coach that ws hire agree to have Pastner as his assistent???

I am thinking if UofA is indeed telling canadates that they want Pastner as one of the assistents, I can see why EVERYONE is spurning the Cats.... Even if you get Cousins, Hiring Theus, as an ASU fan, would be a DREAM come true!

Ther is NO WAY you guys hire a coach who agrees to bring Pastner on.. so go with Theus and everyone is happy!

I think the Pastner-as-assistant is just a fan-driven thing. I doubt there is any truth to it.

At this point, I would welcome Theus or Greenberg with open arms. That's how badly this coaching search has been botched.
