I've seen a lot of Louisville games. Yes, they could win by 25. They can also be had and the Cats might be able to do it. Hill has got to score inside and UA has got to limit turnovers. Without lots of turnovers, Louisville is just another good team.

CBS Sportsline has some of the worst writers in the business.
Duke lost by 23 to a #3 seed, does that mean they shouldn't be in the tournament? Doyel is just bitter because he railed against 'Zona making the tourney and now their inclusion in the Sweet 16 just makes him look (more) like a fool.

I can't even respond to that. He might end up being right but his logic is ridiculous.
Bottom line: He needs to get some. From an actual female.

We'll see. He takes a pretty strong stance, if he's right, he looks like a genius, if wrong, he'll look like a fool.

How in the hell does that make him a genius?
This is the #1 seed of the tournament (an hour away from home) against the last at large team in. I think most are expecting a blowout.
I think no matter what happens he looks like a tool box. Its pretty apparent he has a vendetta and this is the reason many don't take CBSsportsline serious as a sports entity.
That and they let that blonde bombshell Amber Wilson walk away... (google her)

As proof that Louisville can be had, they lost to Notre Dame by 33 this year, 5 days after UCLA beat Notre Dame by 26.
With that press sometimes it either works, or it doesn't and they give up tons of easy shots.

Looks like guaranteeing 25 was a pretty modest projection. Nevertheless, predicting a blowout is a pretty bold move and he was spot on. The Pac 10 looked horrible in the tourney, and the Big East looks like a different league.

Congrats to UA going further than any other Pac 10 school. Tough way to go out though, Budinger was the only one to show up.
Jordan Hill still looks injured he was much slower getting off his feet than usual today.

Predicting a #1 over a #12 doesn't exactly make him Nostradamus.

Gotta say... losing by 40 in the Tournament... I don't care who you are the is an absolute embarrassment... say what you want about the guy, but he saw this coming, and ironically gave UofA too much credit... who would have thought....

I saw this coming, didnt think it would be 40, but 30 seemed very likely to me. No shame in being the last team in and getting beat by the overall #1... L'Ville should have whooped the Cats and they did.
In the end the scores and opponents wont matter. Its another 20 win season and Sweet Sixteen appearance for one of the best basketball programs over the last 25 years.

Yes I agree he does deserve credit. Now I am going to read the multiple national stories on ASU and its basketball program. Oh wait.
The key is we were playing. And Louisville is one of the deepest and most well coached teams I have ever seen. ASU wouldnt have shown too much better with no depth or athleticism. The sad thing is in conjecture world we will never know and ASU fans can sleep and dream in NCAA fantasy world and think they would have actually had a chance. But there was a reason they weren't playing either.
This guy is one of the biggest hacks I have seen in like ever. If somebody crazy at UA wanted to go (insert mean horrible despicable thing here) on this guy I wouldn't be at all sad. And I am not some internet trash talking thug. After reading this follow up if I ran into him I would spit in this guys face and tell me how embarassed I am for him. If you think this guys venom and bile doesn't have some sort of disgraceful personal bias your kidding yourself.

Is getting your program and fan base undressed better than no news?
And bragging about being there seems pretty hilarious at this point, since your team was completely exposed as being a pretender who beat up on two scrub teams. Don't tell me Utah was legit, when Vegas has them as a dog against the last team in, that tells me everything I need to know.
Stop putting words into ASU fans mouth, nobody here said we would beat Louisville, clearly every Pac 10 team is inferior in size and talent to the big EAST.
How ironic, following up "I am not some internet trash talking thug" with "if I ran into him I would spit in this guys face and tell me how embarassed I am for him". U of A had every opportunity to prove him wrong, they clearly didn't.
You keep ripping on this guy, and talk about him embarrassing himself, but I think you are just sad because he hurt your feelings, and was spot on. He predicted a total blowout, and was right. Obviously he did his research, he clearly knows quite a bit about the program and current situation. You continuing to rip him is a classic case of cognitive dissonance. Sure, there are many great things about U of A bball and the opportunities there. Unfortunately, being a homer you ignore or deny all the warts on the program right now.
Like Skkorp said, if you hire the top notch coach, I see a relatively pain free return to a top 10-15 program. If not, we'll look back a couple years from now and laugh at how you guys ripped Herb all the time. I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

UA did not play as well as ASU in the tournament. Temple is better than both Cleveland St. and Utah. ASU played strong against syracuse while UA got played with by Louisville. The UA new line saying "at least we played" is ridiculous. You won one extra game against a not great team to get embarrased on a national stage. Not sure thats something to be proud of. It is UA fans living in fantasy land if they think they impressed anyone in the tournament. A Sweet 16 game turned into a dance party.
