Football Season is here guys!
ASU football season is upon us. We know the DEFENSE is gonna ball out this year, trust me its going to be nasty. I'm just hoping the offense can limit mistakes and take the opportunities that are given. Our defense is capable of carrying the team. Bring on Idaho St. and the rest of the season!

Im hoping at worst the Devils go 6-6 and to the Poinsettia bowl and if things break the Devils way maybe they can somehow go 8-4 and to the Sun Bowl.

Anyone want to make predictions for the ASU-ISU game? Im hoping:
ASU 56
ISU 14
I think its important for ASUs D to hold them to 2 TDs or fewer and Id really like to see them put up 50+ points. I'm going to be very interested to see how Sullivan and Osweiler look of course, and I hope Gerrell Robinson and Ryan Bass can start their way towards breakout seasons. ASU is really going to need those two guys to live up to their recruiting hype if they have any hope of their offense not being completely miserable this year.

Idaho State better not even have more than 7 points at half time. I mean, they really shouldn't have any. If our defense is as good as I think it should be, ISU shouldn't score the whole game. But, I realize the backups are likely to come in at some point and they might give up some points. I see 38-3 at halftime, and 55-17 final score.

ISU may be the worst program in college football. It will definitely be the worst defense ASU sees for maybe the next decade. I think NAU regularly fields better teams.
No excuses on Saturday. Everyone should have career-type games.

ISU can't be any worse than that crap team UofA is playing this weeked (central michigan, I think).
I agree with the above, halftime better be 24-3 or so. Erickson needs to come through with that defense bigtime.
Here's for hoping for an absolute blowout by mid 3rd quarter. 55-10 (10 due to a pick 6 and 15-yard field goal - yeah, they hold them on the 1 yard line).

Actually, UA may be facing the next Ben Rothliesberger in Dan LeFevour. Two years ago he threw for 3,000 yards and ran for another 1,000. He's good.

Good lord. Are you really comparing the preseason favorite to win the MAC and a borderline top 40 team to arguably the worst team in FCS? Do some research.

I'm uncertain about Bass. Actually, I think Cameron Marshall steals the starting job by mid-year. Bass is always looking for the cut back. He's not disciplined enough to stick with called play. And he dances way too much. I can see Marshall and DeWitty taking up a lot of carries as the season progresses.
I'm with on on Robinson. The light has switched on for him. He's going to end up stealing a starting job before the season's over. From what I've seen in practice, he has the ability to be the best receiver in the Pac-10. Also, don't be surprised if Robinson gets a few plays in the Wildcat later in the season.

I will give Sully some credit and note he was worked on his footwork and accuracy this summer. He throws the fade to the right spots downfield as well as Jake ever did, and that's saying something, because Jake threw a gorgeous fade ball.
That said, he's still got a lot to show making decisions. From what I've seen, he's MUCH BETTER under center than shot gun. I wish Erickson would install some more non-gun sets for Sullivan.
Osweiller was born to run the shot gun. Watched him beat Burfict to the corner in practice on an 8-yard keeper, and that's just about impossible to do.
