Football Recruiting
Well after a disappointing season can ASU rebound by snagging a couple of the last few elite recruits they are targeting.
DE Devon Kennard - Pretty much closed door on ASU by narrowing list to USC, CAL, TEX. Can Erickson work some magic to steal him from SC?
DT Corey Adams - Not much news on him lately as he still has ASU on his list with USC. Would be a huge in state coup and help out the D-line as a Fr.
WR Drew Terrell - Suprisingly picked Stanford early in the year but reports that he is still considering ASU. Hopefully Taylor and Parker can convince him to switch.
OLB/ATH Kyle Van Noy - We are his co-leaders with BYU after his visit, with 2 LB recruits in the fold he would probably play another position here.
OT Michael Phillipp - Top rated OG with 2 brothers at U of A, with Siddoway going to CAL, Phillip is a vital recruit to help our O-line.
CB Bernard Bolden - Bookend to Omar Bolden needed to challenge Carr and Jordan for opposite CB spot
CB Desmond Trufant - Brother of Marcus of WSU and the Seattle Seahawks. Suprisingly not alot of PAC-10 offers other than us, ORE and Washington schools.
WR Adam Hall - Will be between U of A and USC but this guy is a playmaker on offense and defense, reminds me of Gerrell Robinson.

How is he doing? Didn't he blowout his knee and miss his entire senior year?

He did, but he should be ready for spring practice wherever he goes. USC has always been the favorite to land him and his injury did not scare off teams recruiting him. ASU was in his Top 5 but he trimmed his list to 3 last week, said he knew everything about ASU he needed to know and that whether he goes there or not he doesn't know now.

Looks like ASU has a couple of fall back options from Kennard as the will host DE Kevin Greene of CA and DE James Boyd a soft USC verbal who is probably looking elsewhere because USC is hard after Kennard. Getting bith would be a huge coup especially if we can land Adams who should be making his decision soon since he has taken all his visits.

Looks like Kennard had a change of heart and will visit ASU on 1/20. Hopefully he comes away very impressed despite ASU coming off a rough year.

I can't find anything that confirms this. Do you have any sources?

I guess Kennard did not go on an official visit but spent the day talking to ASU president Michael Crow. CAL, TEX & USC all had in home visits with him last week, ASU couldn't get one.
Kennard will announce this Tuesday morning at Desert Vista, looks like he is going to CAL or TEX but do not count out SC if I had to venture a guess .

Just like with Everson Griffin and Kris O'Dowd, Arizona HS's have become a pipeline for SC. Atleast we got Adams and U of A will get Hall but that is as far as it goes for the 2009 class. Roh, Lewan, and Murphy all bolted AZ without even visiting ASU or U of A campuses.
As far as Kennard, I think his father and brother didn't really try to sell him on ASU and probably feel he is better off at SC. Realistically he will probably start as a FR opposite Griffin, what sucks is both DE Kevin Greene and James Boyd seem firm on their commitments to SC so they feel riding the pine is better than getting field time somewhere else, damn Pete Carroll is good!

I don't know why this author is so sure about Burfict coming to ASU but if he is right, that is awesome!

Great get! Him plus Adams being added to an already nice defense is going to help a lot!
