ASU/Xavier
Half time. ASU up by 5. Wow.
Watching the game. Getting nervous. ASU's offense bogged down the last 7 mns. Too many turnovers.
Still excited. The offense is more aggressive than I expected from a Sendek team.

Xavier went up 8-0 to start the game.
ASU responded well...had a 9-0 run early.
Have outscored them 46-25 since then.

Surprisingly easy win for the Devils, great performances all around. Biggest win in awhile.

Nice confidence booster, defense looked really good. The offense still needs work, but we may be a top 7 Pac-10 team after all. Especially if Abbott plays like that more.

Nice win. Herb's definitely got the program going in the right direction.

Nice win? This was a 22 point beat-down. I'm converted to Sendek-ball.

Last year's USC team was better than this Xavier squad.
Devils looked good today, that was the best they've shot in a long time. Probably because Christian Polk and Eric Boateng didn't get much burn.

I was at the game, Polk played plenty, but wasn't shooting a lot, he played really nice D, and passed the ball when he was covered.
That was a huge win for the ASU program, anytime you beat a top 25 team by 22, its huge.

I can't say I was too impressed with Xavier, although they do have some good wins this season. Having guys like Shipp play extensive minutes last year makes a huge difference...they can actually contribute off the bench. Sendek teams will always play good D, but with guys like Harden who can actually score this team could at least be interesting.

Xavier is better than they showed today, you'll find a lot of teams slip up when they travel in between finals and Christmas. Always a dangerous time to take a roadie, I'm really worried about Arizona going to UNLV next week.
I must've missed Polk out there, he's usually chucking up contested bricks when he gets PT. Abbott was on today, the guy's always been a very streaky shooter. Glasser should also be starting over McMillan as well but I can see why Herb's not doing it that way.

That was IMPRESSIVE. ASU was completely in control the entire second half. I'm not surprised they won, but I am surprised they won so decisively and easily. The team was very balanced and never got flustered.

I was a bit surprised/disappointed that Kraidon Woods, Steve Jones and Antwi didn't get in with maybe 2 minutes to go. It would've been a nice reward for the guys who work hard in practice.
Apparently Shipp didn't play much at all during this weeks practice because he banged up his knee, thats why Kuksiks was starting. Rihards did a pretty nice job, especially on D when he was matched up against some bigger players.
Also, for those not at the game, Coach Erickson was there with a boat load of recruits, including Gerell Robinson. Pinnacle HS PF Taylor Rhode was also there, along with a bunch of other HS hoops players who I didn't know (wearing various local HS basketball tshirts anyhow).
