ASU in top 25.

http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/ncb/rankings

They are ranked 25th in the USA Today/ESPN poll and 23 in the AP.

it just CAN'T feel good to be a Cats fan right now... ASU ranked, U of A not ranked, no bowl Game for them this year, their Football recruits transferring to ASU, and they are either living in Tucson, from Tucson, or for some reason like Tucson, either way its a VERY depressing feeling if you me.....I want to hear one legit reason to be a cats fan...

UofA bball has been SO much better than ASU for a long long time. They shouldn't be too concerned at this point.

Because we know that our team can/will contend for a basketball national championship most years.

We need to quit being so UA conscious. The target this year should be to make the tournament.

Next year, raise the bar some more.

LOL no matter what.. it is ALWAYS about being better than the cats.. ALWAYS...

But as long as we continue to improve and take care of business, we'll be alright...

It seems like EVERY analyst I have read loves ASU, and believes they will make the tourney... someone mentioned this in another thread.. but the bottom line is the Devils ability to win on the road..... Time will tell, but the way the devils are playing Defense, its going to be tough on any night to beat them...

The only thing you should be worried about is this:

@ Stanford
@ Cal
#8 Washington St
Washington
@ USC
@ #4 UCLA
#22 Arizona St.

Anything worse than a 4-3 stretch, would put them at best, 5-7 in the PAC-10, and your Tournament Lives are in MAJOR jeporady..

And if ASU makes the Tourney while UofA is at home.. and Bayless declares for the Draft (the way hes been playing he could be a lock for the top 10 next year) will we have to re-open the UofA Suicide Hotline?

It would be the equivilant of UofA going to the Rose Bowl while ASU missed a bowl completely .. if that happend, Devil fans would DEFINENTLY need therapy....

only time will tell, and over the next 7 games we will have a better idea if UofA is really as good as their fans believe they are...

Did you seriously just put ASU as a reason we should be worried?

Hey... What happend last wednesday? I can't rememeber, but your absolutely right, you SHOULD NEVER worry about being beaten by ASU... I mean when is the last time THAT has happend...

**Note you may want to use the cut and paste from another previous thread** its already typed out for you all you have to do is cut and paste it to this thread.....

and for the record, I also included Washington @ home to.... Yes ASU will have a tough time winning in Tucson, but UofA has got to play well....

With Bayless, Arizona goes at least 9-9 in conference, which would put them in the tournament.

UA is a good team, just look at the games while at full strength.

.. give us a break, thats all we have right now, baby steps, but ASU will take it... but ofcourse Ill go with the arguement, we live in the present... NOT the past....

UofA is a good team, I just think right now, With ASU has won 9 in a row, are very young and gaining confidence and as of right now, I think they are a better team than UofA... Thats all....

ofcourse UofA is historically a better basketball team than ASU, thats all you have down there in Tucson, if it weren't for UofA hoops, I wonder if Tucson would exist? But At Least we are competitive again, and with the way Sendek is recruiting and coaching, we are only going to get better...

ASU/UA fans better get over it in a hurry. In 30 years the two schools will be indistinguishable. They'll even be sharing the same buildings -- like the medical school that will be downtown Phoenix -- and the same staff in some cases. The sciences have intermingled for projects with NASA, as well.

When the Guv-ness gets that express train built along the I-10 corridor, growth will expand north of Tucson and south of Case Grande. Then we'll all live -- relatively -- in the same metropolis.

ASU/UA bitterness will be SOOOOO 20th Century.
