And since Villanova and Arizona are such fraudulent Tournament teams in this guy's eyes even those two wins should not mean as much. That's what is popularly referred to as talking out of both sides of one's mouth. I'm sure him and the other 2,000 people at the Alabama State game tomorrow can recite these fun facts as they share the giant kleenex the city of Tempe imported last night.

Stop bitching about UofA getting in. Bitch about Kentucky and Villanova getting in plus Georgia winning the SEC
Then after you do that, bitch about how Dayton, Ohio State, and Virginia Tech had stronger arguments for getting in than ASU

i dont think Syracuse should have gotten in after choking against pitt and losing to Villanova, and i think the NIT will be good for them. But UA and Syracuse aren't too different. Syracuse actually had a .500 record in conference play and had a SOS of 7, but like UA, we had very few wins against our great SOS.

im bitching just as much as any UA fan would had the tables been switched, but you guys would have at least had the same catch phrase as during the season.
"But Bayless was hurt!" and "and then Wise was hurt!"

Well, considering very few of the ASU fans have shown themselves to have any knowledge of how the Tournament is picked it should come as no surprise they keep blurting out ignorant comments. Again - Arizona was in rather safely, every bracketologist in the country had them in through the whole weekend. Pick on South Alabama, Kentucky, Kansas State, and Villanova.

that is exactly the point, everyone had them in based on rep. call it what you want, but the fact that UA, again, had a losing record in teh pac and all that junk, and were still basically, not a lock, but pretty much guaranteed a spot. status quo as usual.

How can you be so narrow minded? Every bracketologist KNOWS what the NCAA selection committee looks for in a tournament resume. They know that SOS, especially OOC is weighed heavily. They know that the committee takes into account injuries and if those players will return. Nobody had them in on "rep", neither did the committee.

not thinking that teams like Kentucky and Arizona got in somewhat on rep makes me laugh.

This just in...
The NCAA selection committee has just announced that in addition to the criteria that ASU and 'Cuse did not meet in order to gain a NCAA bid, the committee will now factor in program prestige.
Speaking of rep, I think we should boot St. Mary's for Florida. Its only been decades since the defending national champion has missed the tournament, just like UA. Lets give Florida the free ride since we are using the prestige factor.
