After a tumultuous 8 year run, Star Wars Galaxies shutdown for good last night.

I thought I'd share some select screenshots I've taken over the years. I couldn't believe I still had a bunch of my originals on the hard-drive from back in 2003!

In my opinion, SWG will go down in the annals of MMO history as both the greatest triumph, and the greatest failure, of all-time. As good, or as crummy, as the game was it was never about the gameplay really...it was about the people you hung out with.

I miss the time I shared with all the different people I played with, but all good things must come to an end.

And now, without any further ado, here's my brief history of my SWG experience...I'll add descriptions, and maybe more screenies later.

Loved that game when it first came out. Some of the updates they did were good...guild halls & player houses but some not so good. Never cared for the space combat stuff, then when they really cut down the character classes that was it for me.

I loved having my master creature handler, I had a ton of pets, my player houses were crawling with them.
