Question about Madden 2004
For my birthday, one of my girls got me Madden 2004 for the PC. My question is, what kind of controller do you use? Should I buy that piece where you can connect it with a PS2 controller ???
Any recommendations??

I would definately get a high quality controller, stay away from the Microsoft Sidewinder, it really hurts your fingers after a while and the button placement leaves a lot to be desired. Go with the PS2 replica. I am not sure there is an adapter available so you can use your existing Ps2 controller on your computer but I could be wrong.....
When you get up and running let me know and I will play you!!! Anquan will burn you for 400 yards and that is just the 1st quarter

Here is an adapter for a PS2 controller. I have one as do a few of my friends and it works great. It's much cheaper than buying an entire controller as well. You can buy one at http://shop1.outpost.com/product/3503594
Hope that helps!

I disagree with Ryan. I love the Microsoft SW and find it to be the perfect controller for Madden. I also have a Saitek controller w/ 2 analog sticks that I like a lot as well. I wish there was an adapter to hook up my Xbox controller to the PC.
I'd say go to a good computing store and see which one feels best. You don't necessarily need analog sticks to play madden. They have the new "playmaker" feature that uses an analog stick, but IMO it's honestly pretty worthless.
Hope I was some help.

Ask and ye shall receive. I bought one of these a few months ago, haven't used it too much as I don't play PC games much anymore but I like the X-Box controller mucm more than the PS2 controller so I use it when I do play the games that require it. The only downside to it has been finding a decent set of drivers, but that problem is much less than it was a few months ago.

I have a Logitech USB "Dual Action" controller with analog sticks, and a Gravis "game pad pro"
Both are USB, look like a playstation controller, and are less than $20.
