L.A. Noire

Anyone pick this up yet? I've been playing it and think its a ton of fun. Like an interactive episode of CSI set in the 40's.

I hear from a coworker that it looks great but he shared a few concerns that have me hesitant to buy the game. He said that there are too many cut away scenes, the game is 3 discs long, and that when you look for clues that when you get near your controller vibrates making too easy to play.

I think that is true for xbox360 but it is only 1 disk for PS3. The vibration help can be toggled on and off to increase the game difficulty as well.

Have heard nothing but good things about this. I just have not had a chance to pick it up yet.

The story is engaging but the gameplay actually gets old pretty quick. I am probably a quarter of the way through and find myself bored more than I would like. The story is good enough to make me keep playing though.

I like it. I think Heavy Rain did the interactive movie bit better, and I think Mafia II had better action in-game, but this is a great blend of those two games in Rockstar fashion. They've really stepped it up the last few years with GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption, and now LA Noire.
