I tried deleting WOW from my computer and reloading it (took 6 hours to DL all the patches ) and still get the same problem.
Anyone else have the same problem? I hear it is rampant in Northrend when you enter any form of water while on a mount.

Yikes. That sounds like a bug they would want to have fixed ASAP.

I'm really excited about the new WoW expansion.
"Cataclysm"
A bunch of Cataclysmic events will completely change the "Old World" as we currently know it. Two new races will be added, the Worgen for the Alliance and the Goblins for the Horde. Flying mounts will be usable anywhere. Plus a bunch of other really cool stuff!
Can't wait to level a Worgen through the completely changed "Old World".

Just got my Death knight to 80 last night. He joins my other two 80s, a Priest and a Warrior.

The only 'sladeshins' in WoW. A unique name!
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...&cn=Sladeshins
Closing in on 80! 440 leatherworker.
I've also got a 450 inscriptionist on a DK.
Cataclysm is gonna rock. It's got a lot of hardcores up in arms. They're worried about it becoming too accessible.
I think they're getting lathered up over little.

My son is now heavy into WOW. We have Vista, 8GB Ram, an Nvidia GEForce 9100 Vid Card and AMD Phenom 9750 2.4Ghz processor. We are getting really poor frame rates. So bad that he has to quit playing. DSL web service.
Any suggestions on what I can upgrade to improve the gaming experience?

Here are some quick fix culprits that can usually keep framerates stable:
Turn on/off V-Sync
Turn off/lower Antialising or Antroscopic filtering.
Lower textures.

Yes. And lowering view distance helped me a bit. I was getting 10 fps until i made these changes. Now i'm regularly over 50. Its a completely different game!
