Does anyone here own NBA 06, The Life Volume 1?

I'm looking to get a new PS2 Game now that I have some $$ saved up, and this game is right at the top of my list because of it's cover player.

The question looms: is it worth the investment? Anyone own the game?

Moreso, the Story Mode than the cover guy, but having Amare as the cover player doesn't hurt. I first took notice of the game because he's on the cover, then began to look at the features, with the story mode being what seems to set it apart.

Having not played it though, I was wondering about the game play. If the story mode is good and the game play is poor, I don't care much WHO'S on the cover. it's not worth the investment.

I have yet to start a dynasty/franchise on it but I love the Life aspect of it.

My only gut feeling is your player goes through the same thing everytime.

For ex. I created myself as a PG for the Suns. I beat out a 2nd year player (ROY the year before) and he was traded for the top pick in the draft.

We have then gone on to start the season 10-4.

The thing that pissed me off was all the teams you play have their roster currently in the NBA. PHX has no Nash, No Marion, no one. Just created guys since that is the team I choose to play for.

Overall its worth the money. I have enjoyed playing the life.
