Anyone see the new Nintendo Revolution yet?
Here is a pic of the new system and a new controller.
Main Controller Features
*3D Pointing. Sensors understand up, down, left, right, forward and backward.
*Tilt Sensitive. Controller can be rotated or rolled from side-to-side.
*Buttons Included. Has a trigger on its backside, face buttons, and a D-Pad.
*Multifunctional. Has an expansion port which can be used with different types of controller peripherals. Analog stick with two trigger buttons planned for left hand.

*Wireless. Totally wire-free. Currently there are no details on the max distance, source or power, or otherwise.
*Rumble Built-in. Included as a standard in all the controllers.
*Ability to turn off gaming system from the controller. Rather than get up to turn off the system.
The Revolution will be available to play classic NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube games as well.
Anyone else really excited about how this may change the gaming industry?

The powerglove came out 10 years after the NES came out, as an accessory, not as THE controller.
You will also have the ability to play gamecube controllers on the Revolution.
Here is a video that displays some of the possible capabilities of the revolution

As a gamecube owner, I don't like the look or idea behind the Revolution. Xbox 360 all the way!

It wasn't ten years. NES debuted in '85 and the power glove around '88. I was being somewhat facetious that a movement-based controller wouldnt be anymore than a cheap gimmick. But you never know, Nintendo has always been a leader in this stuff (gameboy, 3D models in Mario 64, dual-screen systems). Should be interesting.
Pretty cool that the GC controller will work. I can see myself getting the Revolution and then playing NES and SNES games on it. LOL

Wow.
After watching this video, I think it looks awesome.
http://media.cube.ign.com/articles/6...34/vids_1.html
Imagine dropping Kurt Warner in the pocket with the left hand analog stick, hold down the B button on your right index finger and then flick the controller like a magic wand to air out a bomb to 'Quan.

LOL. Same one. My bad. I, along with 75% of nerds on the internets had this system dead and buried before getting some facts.
I think it will be a very cool system.
