Tomorrow's Game

What a big game tomorrow! The DBacks send Josh (486K) against the stud pitcher from the Giants, Matt (15 Mil and counting) for the sweep. If the Dbacks can pull this off, it will send a huge message. The DBacks pitching in the minors is amazing. This organization has turned the corner and is one to be reckoned with. This is going to be a fun ride this year!

One more opportunity?

Those wacky Dbacks overcome 6 runs allowed by Collmentor and come back to sweep the Gnats in their opening series. A lot of baseball left, but this team still has the swagger that almost got them past Milwaukee last year, with more talent.

Josh gets a couple of more starts to overcome what has been a less then positive start to 2012 (inc. ST). I'll be curious to see how long the leash is...

Collmenter isn't hitting his spots like last season, and I suspect the book on him is crystal clear now. Strike 1 is definitely his best pitch, but he has to throw something other than fastballs (74%) and changeups (23%) on that first pitch. He still doesn't have a real curveball -- it remains that "show me" pitch that he often tips. I'd love to see him go get a cutter that he could pair with that fastball and changeup.

I was disappointed in his first start. Perhaps he may have done better starting at Petco Field, but then you have to be able to pitch in every park
