He's still on the bench, 2 outs, 2 on, bottom of the 9th, NL down 1...

And O-Dawg at the plate.

Lazy flyout to right. Bah. Good one, Rowand. Good one, LaRussa. Did Pujols miss a curfew or something.

And wasn't LaRussa quoted as saying that he wouldn't be afraid of playing Pujols at any position, if necessary (if the game had been tied).

I still don't like the rule about giving home field advantage to the World Series team whose league won the all-star game.

In what other sport does an exhibition game determine advantage in the championship series?

Absolutely ridiculous rule, imo.

We went from a winning team that was the most exciting team in the league to a half-winning team that wasn't exciting at all." Stay classy, Boris.

I listened to the ninth on the radio last night. Aaron Rowand? You kidding me? If you are going to have the game decide the World Series, perhaps you should alert the managers. Not batting Pujols there felt worse than the tie when Brenly managed the game. Aaron Rowand? Sheesh.

yeah, I would have had pujols up there with runners in scoring position regardless. I mean he is one of the most clutch hitters in the game.
