I hope the Sox beat the A's and it's a Yankee/Red Sox matchup for the AL series.

I'm rooting for a Cubs/Red Sox World Series.

Or maybe anyone BUT the Yankees (BLAH).

I was hoping for Cubs vs. Twins,

but now I'm joining the bandwagon

Cubs/Red Sox, w/ the Cubs coming out on top in 5

Will Kim blow another world series save, or will they even put him in?

I remember hearing after they won tonight that the Cubs had beaten the Fish 4 our ot 6 games this season.

So I guess it's possible.

I am happy for the Cubs I really am. And I will root for them if they go to the World Series.... BUT...... I am gonna have to go for the Marlins here... One I live in FL. And 2 I think pitching wise it is a close series. Batting I think the Marlins have a slight edge.... I feel they are more aggresive... All in all it makes for some great baseball. I am hoping for the Sox to pull the ALCS....

I'm for the fish, too. I've never liked the Cubs and see no reason to start now, not a big Dusty Baker fan, and Cubs fans at BOB are annoying. Marlins play entertaining baseball, I like the idea of a very young team succeeding - good role model for our near future - plus I think the whole Jack McKeon thing is a hoot. On the other hand I wouldn't mind a Cubs-Red Sox WS, even though Fox will hype it to death, because I think it could be bery bery good for baseball. (On radio Dan Patrick suggested that if the Sox make the WS, they could have Bill Buckner throw out one of the first pitches as a way to put the curse to rest. LOL)

So tonight I will be on tenterhooks hoping the Red Sox bats finally show up, and hoping Oakland continues its recent bumbling defensive style. (Gee, Billy, maybe having a good defense is NOT overrated.)

BTW - how about we spread the theory that Atlanta will not win the WS until they get rid of that gawdawful Tomahawk Chop organ noise? I'm especially glad Atlanta is out, because I wouldn't want to hear that through another round of playoffs.

That's a thought.... Since we're from Arizona, we could spread the rumor that local medicine men have seen this vision.... Call it the curse of the Tomahawk Chop.
