You're obviously correct that it is early but I think the front office was counting on a quick start to boost attendance. I remember reading about how they need to sell a lot of tickets to pay for all the off season money the spent and fair or not fans aren't gonna pay to see a mediocre team. |

The D-Backs are currently 17th in attendace with ~26K. That's up from the past two years and close to what it was in 2009. With Cards, G-men, Doghairs and HGH Brewers coming to town this month, that could spike up.

Upton has Hall of Fame talent, yet continues to underperform. Not even sure if Goldy will make it to the all-start break in the bigs... I can see him being sent back down to Reno. Our offense is atrocious.

Offense is suppressed throughout the NL unless you're StL or ATL. Our under performing offense is still better than league average. Our pitching, however, is not doing so hot in this seemingly pitching friendly season.
Good pitching bad hitting looks like MIA, not ARI.
