There is one song with rap in it, but I don't listen to it much. And the single they released isn't that good, but there are a few songs on there that are pretty solid.
I saw them on their ffirst tour and was pretty knocked out by the show. I really liked the first record, but I really tired on electronica as an entire genre for awhile, especially the breaks oriented big beat stuff like Crystal Method. Hell, I wasnt even aware they had any other albums out since Vegas.
Do you listen to the Basement Jaxx at all? Even though I got burned on electronica, I licked up their latest and I think its fantastic.
I've only been listening to live boots I've been trading for over the past few months.
Today it is:
Stevie Ray Vaughan - 8/26/90, Alpine Valley, WI
The Doors - 3/10/67, Matrix Club, San Fran.
Oasis - 7/7/02, Finsbury Park, England
Marshall Crenshaw - 8/23/83, Agora, W. Hartford, CT
Prince - 6/8/95, Glam Slam, Miami, FL

I've gone for more the loungy type stuff. I haven't heard much of Basement Jaxx, but what I remember was unorganized noise. I'm still open to them of course, but until then I'll probably stick more with Massive Attack, Morcheeba and Thievery Corporation.
1) Pearl Jam
2) Pearl Jam
3) Pearl Jam(Live)
4) Pearl Jam (Live)
5) Favorite songs..about half of them pearl jam.

Not an entirely inaccurate description. Their new record is by far the most commercially accessible though. I have them all, and the first two has a couple great tracks followed by songs that fit your description. The new one is nice in that it seeems to follow some sort of pattern.
Theivery Corp. I can dig to that. if you like them, be sure to check out Kruder and Dorfmeister "The K and D Sessions" Great downtempo remixes. Its awesome.

Oh yeah, absolutely. I've got a ton of K&D, but then you can get even more obscure and go for the Dining Rooms, Aim, Conjure One, Tosca, Rob Dougan, Nightmares On Wax, Portishead, the list goes on and on... Cool to see someone interested in this type of music. Especially you Dave, who I know has a music background (and who's cd I own)!
Lamb Of God - As The Palaces Burn
Deicide - Scars Of The Crucifix
Dying Fetus - Purification Through Violence
Shadows Fall - The Art Of Balance
Carcass - Heartwork
Infusion - Leveled
