"Bloody Kisses" just brings back several memories of my friends and I driving around late at night blasting it with the windows down.... This album is extremely powerful throughout that one could literally be emotionally drained in the end of listening to it....
What makes Type-0-Negative so unique is that they combine potent "death-metal" elements with some Progressive Rock along with even some classical feel...even could be classified operatic in the range of voice that Pete Steele delivers in his sheer amazing vocals.... They definitely have a cult-following in the Gothic scene, however, their music always has trascended that and beyond....
The stand-outs on this album are "Christian Woman", "Black No. 1", and their cover of "Summer Breeze", however, one must listen to the album in its entirety to gain the immense impact of the album....Definitely worth listening to, regardless if you're not heavily into metal since they did an excellent job of covering nearly every genre on "Bloody Kisses"....
