"Bloody Kisses" just brings back several memories of my friends and I driving around late at night blasting it with the windows down.... This album is extremely powerful throughout that one could literally be emotionally drained in the end of listening to it....

What makes Type-0-Negative so unique is that they combine potent "death-metal" elements with some Progressive Rock along with even some classical feel...even could be classified operatic in the range of voice that Pete Steele delivers in his sheer amazing vocals.... They definitely have a cult-following in the Gothic scene, however, their music always has trascended that and beyond....

The stand-outs on this album are "Christian Woman", "Black No. 1", and their cover of "Summer Breeze", however, one must listen to the album in its entirety to gain the immense impact of the album....Definitely worth listening to, regardless if you're not heavily into metal since they did an excellent job of covering nearly every genre on "Bloody Kisses"....

Soon.. this album will be in my regular rotation since it forever reminds me of Autumn.... Doesnt matter whether it's in MI or AZ...this album is just too haunting and bone tingling...... Just good to listen to regardless of what mood/state-of-mind you're in...... One of those albums that each time you listen.. it has to be from the first-2-final track since it completely all builds off of each other...

Anyone else here ever listened to this album and/or also love Type-0 Negative? I hope they release a new album soon..they're about due for a new one....

I like Type O- (not a hardcore fan, though) and their 3 main albums (Bloody Kisses, October Rust, World Coming Down) are masterpieces of 90's Dark Metal, blending cold wave with doom metal rythmics and Peter Steele characteristic "out of the womb" singing...

Apparently, after faking Peter's death on their official website http://www.typeonegative.net/, they're working on a new album, supposedly due to SPV on 2006.
