"Paper Lion"

I just picked up George Plimpton's "Paper Lion." This is the book about his experience as the "last string" QB during a lions training camp and first couple of games (?) in the early 60s.

I've only read about 20 or so pages so far, but it's an enjoyable read. I like his style.

I'll let you know how it is when I finish.

This is f-ed up. I just finished reading Paper Lion--literally closed the book after reading the last page and turned on the television. It was already turned to CNN. Across the bottom scrolls: "Paper Lion author George Plimpton dies at 76."

Good book. I suspect it'll see an uptick in readership over the weekend. Sounds like this guy really enjoyed sports and lived the dream: mixing it up with the big boys (he went to camp with the Lions and the Yankees).
