George R.R. Martin?
I know we have a lot of readers here, but I'm not sure if we have any fantasy readers. I don't read a lot of fantasy, but one of the guys I DO read is George R.R. Martin, whose Game of Thrones has now been optioned and acquired by HBO to make a series. The book is great, very dark and he isn't afraid to kill off main characters.
I guess it will be their next epic series--right now, there are something like 4 books written, and each book will have it's own 12-episode season on HBO. Think Lord of the Rings meeting Rome.
Should be very cool.
