Favorite Kids Book

I was at my parents house last night....and they had all of my books up in the attic. I went up there, got stung by a scorpion, and brought it down to take them home.

They are littered with classics!!

Superfudge
Wrinkle in Time
My side of the mountain
Scorpions
Sign of the Beaver
Westing Game
Some crappy Hardy Boyz books
The Whipping Boy

Anyone have a favorite kids book?? Or are you all from the SNES era??

Are you sure you didn't get some of your father's magazines mixed up in there?

I must be in the right mood, because as soon as I read your post, I got choked up. Shel Silverstein is amazing.

All Judy Blume
All Beverly Cleary
All Laura Ingalls Wilder
Watership Down
Where the Red Fern Grows (Thanks to Harley)
All of the "Soup & Me" series--can't remember author
My Side of the Mountain (Thanks to Harley)
The Outsiders & That Was Then, This is Now (Again, recommended by Harley)

I was a serious book hound as a kid. There were years of my life when I would often start & finish a book in one day. I LOVED reading. Sadly, I don't know if it's my fibromyalgia, or just age/life circumstances, whatever--I can't read a novel anymore. I can't focus on what I'm reading enough to even "get it". I live off of Reader's Digest, Guideposts, etc. Short stories for me now

What was the books with the Homeless kids that solved mysteries??

And the other homeless kids that solved mysteries??

One was like a homeless family...and the other were homeless boys.

I'm not imaging this...off to Barnes and Noble.
